The Kansas Trip! Photojournal edition part 1

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to travel to Amazing Grace Baptist Camp in Ottawa KS with a group of 8 other college students. Talk about a crazy and fun trip!! Here are some of the recorded highlights:

Our first stop for dinner at Subway was nothing out of the ordinary until after the boys’ tanks were full. Several of them decided to start dancing in the middle of Subway!! It definitely loosened us up and got us ready for the next leg of our long journey.

You may wonder “why are those strapping young men wearing winter garments in the van? Well, Clint got a little upset at the girls because we were always cold. So he retaliated by opening the windows and blasting the AC. We, being the resourceful women that we were, grabbed all the blankets packed in the back, and stayed nice and cozy in the back. Meanwhile, the boys, demanding brownies in orders to put the windows up, started getting cold and bundled up with the meager resources they had. Finally, Ben launched over the seat, hollering “Grab the blankets, Ryan. NEVER SUCCUMB! NEVER SUCCUMB!!”

We won the blanket war. Yes, that is Bryan’s scar…from me.

Then, of course, there was the Tot throwing contest. Ryan threw up and caught in his mouth 5 tots, beating Ben’s personal best of 4.
When we ran out of useful things to help with in the kitchen, Katie and I had a great time using our aprons to “cool off your food,” as teens walked by.

More to come!!!

You should see the scar now…there are two bruises, one the size of the middle section of a finger and the other the size of a thumbprint. Then there is that brutal scratch in the middle.–>
