Just Add Daisy

Rip open the packet, and look inside. Do you see it? There’s my college, mixed in with dear friends and just a dash of the Artist Series. Now all you would have to add is Daisy in order to picture the whirlwind of events from this past weekend! That’s right. I had the opportunity to make a surprise trip back to school to see friends and my brother. Let me give you a brief overview of the events that robbed me of my sleep and kept me laughing like it was my full-time occupation:

Friday night held the promise (threat??) of the Artist Series, which I was to attend with my brother. Since he decided to ask someone at the last minute, he thought he’d do me a favor by setting me up with someone. I figured it would be someone I knew, since I knew many people on campus, but he called me up and told me that I could go with his new roommate. ‘Oh great’ I thought, ‘another blind date.’ I HATE blind dates. I was a little apprehensive about the whole idea of a blind date, but threw caution to the wind and did it. And you know what, we had a great adventure that evening. I mean, I’m still alive :o) There will be more to come later when I have the proof of pictures but for now, I’ll let you pick which charmer was my date.

The group I was a part of was a blast. We all went out to Applebees (where I flung my steak knife at my brother’s chest…accidently…of course), then on to a visit with Mac and Beth. While I will withhold my overarching opinion about the program itself, I was blessed by it.

Afterwards, our group made a mad dash to change, then we all went on a digital scavenger hunt. While I won’t delve into the depths of hysteria this outing provoked, stay tuned for a future post on this topic.

Oh stop! You make me miss life in wintery Wisconsin. I miss my friends, I even think that I might miss school…at least sometimes! But hey, today Karli and I went to the beach…she needed to fill a flower pot with sand, I don’t know, I just went along for the ride!
I’d love to hear the whole story, I bet it will be great!

Can anyone see the second picture? You can’t make a good guess if you can only see one picture.
